Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed mostly of calcium carbonate or dolomite. Marble is a metamorphic stone formed through the crystallisation of limestone, valued for its delicate mottled or veined patterns. Marble and limestone are often used to make fireplace surrounds, bathroom surfaces, or as decorative wall or floor tiles.
