RAF Coltishall near Norwich in Norfolk was opened as a base for fighter aircraft during the Second World War, and continued to be used by the RAF until its closure in 2006.
To commemorate the history of the base and those who served there, a memorial garden at the former RAF Coltishall was opened in 2010 and we were commissioned to create a bespoke memorial as its centrepiece.
Shaped in prestigious polished Black Granite, the stone features coloured designs of the RAF station badge and aeroplanes. The base features a map design depicting the layout of the base and its runway.
